new proposal status

Between FY2001 and FY2005 the number of new proposals submitted increased by approximately 15% with the first 3 years being at the same level. Success rates (awarded/total) FY2002-FY2004 are excellent averaging approximately 70%. FY2005 data at the time of this writing show a success rate of 60%, with 3 proposals still pending. While the success rate is in a downward trajectory, having a 60% or greater success rate is an indication that our faculty, students and staff are writing highly competitive proposals.
