RESEARCH STATUS

Approximately 20% of the submitted proposals in FY2005 were to NIH as compared to 17% in FY2001. The greatest increase in submission, however, has been to not for profit agencies with approximately 34% of the FY2005 submissions going to these agencies. Submissions to foundations and other governmental agencies have remained relatively stable.
